Amy...Thanks for your comment...I don't feel my mother is slighting me in the least...I biggest concern is that she has pushed everyone aside.. I go to my parents every couple of weeks because of their age and mom doesn't like to leave the house. When she retired about 13 years ago she decided that if we wanted to see her we could have to go there that she had done all the going she was going to do...except at Christmas and Thanksgiving. They always came to mt house. This year she decided "she" didn't even want to do that. So my dad and everyone else just gives in to her and she gets what she wants. I guess it's ok...it just ruins the day for others when she is like this. Not a problem, except she won't see the others. I go anyway because she is mom and I love her.
